I have a Dyson DC 20, its old but still works well
the turbine head tool brush is giving problems
it will not rotate with any power when i put it onto the carpet.
I have cleaned it according to the help page on the Dyson site.
there is no hair or anything blocking or wound around the shafts
i have opened it up , as far as it with go without removing the shafts
All clean!!
Are the bearing shot??
can it be repaired
A replacement is some £ 53 so i was hoping to repair or refurbish this one
can anyone help please
if you need to know any more , please just ask
Thanks

Re: turbine head tool will just not rotate.
Are you sure that it's not reduced suction from the machine causing the turbine head not to rotate? Can you test it on another machine?

Hi
Yhanks for the reply
the suction is fine
I have taken out the filter , cleaned it, tested it with and without.
Seems OK
It does not fit our other dyson as we do not have an adaptor piece,
the brush doe snot spin easily by hand
that is why i questioned the bearing
