Guide: Where to buy Dyson spare parts

Post by Onion »

Spare parts for Dysons are generally easy to get hold of on the web. Here's a guide to the major web retailers who stock Dyson spares:

UK Retailers
www.dyson.co.uk
The widest range of spares, direct from Dyson. Their customer service is widely considered to be excellent. Delivery is free over £25, otherwise £1.96.

www.buyspares.co.uk
Extensive selection of Dyson spares and accessories. Stocks Dyson branded parts as well as a selection of BuySpares approved genetic variants. Delivery is on a sliding scale starting at £1.95 and is free on orders over £30.

www.amazon.co.uk

www.manchestervacs.co.uk

www.ebay.co.uk

www.sparesaver.com
Very good selection of spares for all models. They offer free delivery and have a Price Match promise. They also have some great guides on how to carry out various Dyson repairs.

www.dysonpartsdirect.co.uk
Another retailer with a good selection of spare parts. Postage costs are related to order value and start at £2.

www.ukvacuumspares.co.uk
Despite the name, this retailer specialises in Dyson spares. Delivery starts at £1.50.

www.espares.co.uk

www.ManchesterVacs.co.uk

I'd like to add our site above to this list if I can. We dismantle hundreds of Dysons and sell many parts that others don't list. We are always cheaper than Dyson UK.

Of coarse - I've added you above. Thanks for your recent contributions to the forum. :)

PS: Do you stock spares for machines newer than the DC14?

We keep some DC15 and later stuff, but we are mostly restricted by what we get in (wrt used/recycled parts). Most later machines we tend to refurbish rather than dismantle. The spares after market on later stuff is lesser as Dyson tend to sue people who "copy" their parts. They use this to control the after sales market and keep prices artificially high. A good example is DC14 crevice tools; nobody other than Dyson makes these yet, which is why they cost around £10 as opposed to earlier ones for just a few pounds.

I'd like to add my company to the above list (http://www.totalvac.com/dyson.htm). We sell a variety of Dyson vacuums and Dyson vacuum parts (tools, filters, and so forth) so homeowners can keep their Dyson vacuum in top performing condition.
