Looking to purchase new vacuum cleaner. I need your feedback

I am looking to get a new vacuum cleaner. I currently have a Bissel that is absolutely useless. I have only used it about 6 times but it barely picks up anything.

I was told that a Dyson is what I would want to get.

I have been looking on eBay and other sites.

I can purchase a reconditioned Animal for about $150 or a used Animal 2 for about $200. The model number of the Animal 2 is a UP20. I also see reconditioned Animal 2 UP20 models for about $250.

Are all of these pretty much the same unit? Which one would be best for me to spend my money on?

I just want a vacuum that works well and does what it is supposed to do.

Your recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
