V10 pulses once then stops

I have had a V10 for several years, but recently it has developed a problem where it will make one pulse before shutting off. Pulling the trigger immediately again does nothing, but if you wait about 10 seconds to try again it will pulse once more. All of the battery lights light up every time, the filter light does not come on, it's fully charged, I have cleaned the filter, and the vacuum is empty. The strange part is that it only does this if one of the spinning heads are connected, like the carpet and wood floor heads. Anyone got any ideas what it could be?
