DC39. I have the same issue as people in the follow 2 threads....loss of suction and popping noise caused by the motor bypass valve.

I have eliminated the possibility of blockages back to the motor. I was thinking maybe the hepa filter was plugged but not I read that this is never the problem. Thats as far as I have gotten and I have not seen anything that resembles a bypass valve. Although I have disassembled back to the hepa filter I have not taken the hepa filter out as I can't figure out how. I see that there are 2 white tabs but they do not move.
Can anyone supply me with a exploded view that shows the valve and offer mt any other help?
Thanks.
DC39 need exploded view and info for motor bypass valve
