Dc40 upright head connection issue

Hi,
I have opened DC40 and did a bit of mess.

Though I identified my original problem i.e. head roller not spinning. I fixed the wire that got snapped.

During assembly I was surprised how difficult it was to put it back.
Result - head roller ok, but it is not flexible.
