I don't have one but it sounds like the right choice if you prefer the balled machines. Otherwise I'd go for the DC33.

The DC33 has a larger bin, but overall i think the DC25 would be best, the handle/wand is metal and rigid unlike the DC33.
The head is also smaller on the DC25 so you can get the head of the cleaner under low furniture. And the DC25 has stiffer bristles on the brushbar.
The DC25 all floor/anmial are the exact same machine! The only difference is colour, and with the animal you get a turbine attachment for pet hair (for sofa's, chair, stairs etc.)
Or if you could wait till nect year dyson should be releasing a new ball!
And remember whichever dyson you buy empty and clean filters thoroughly, regulary!

Re: Which Dyson? Quick reference Dyson buyer's guide
Thanks for the great summary, I'm planning to get a Dyson vacuum cleaner myself, thinking about DC25. Was curious what does the animal mean in the product name and found it out thanks to the opening posts. At the moment I'm owning a Shark Navigator vacuum cleaner but it broke, from one day to another didnt want to start up. So I guess it's time to switch to something better quality. Based on the reviews I read the DC25 will be a great choice, looking forward buying it.

Glad you found it useful. DC25 seems like a great choice, hope you are happy with it. If you hadn't seen already we have a price comparison section for each model so you can find the cheapest place to buy one. For the DC25:

Re: Which Dyson? Quick reference Dyson buyer's guide
Our Which Dyson? buyer's guide was getting a little outdated given Dyson's recent multiple product launches so we've just given it a full revamp. It's now laid out in an easier to read table and includes links to the relevant price comparison pages, plus launch dates which I think should be useful as that information is rarely published elsewhere.
