Hello Dyson fans is it better to fit filter pads and change them every , rather than just leave the Hepa filters in place ? In some Dyson fans opinion the filter pads are far kinder to the motors and changing these annually will lead to longer motor life. Is this true what do other people think.

Hi if you have a new ball type then all filters are washable and don't need to be replaced, however a spare set to rotate means you don't have wait for them to dry . If you have wheels instead of a ball then except for dc27 and dc33 the hepa/ s class filters are permanent and don't need changing . They will go black but that's normal as they catch the carbon dust from the brushes . Cheers
