hi I have a dc1 and the power head doesn't seem to be sucking much, ive cleaned it out completely, and still no better ? is there a belt on it to turn brush ? if so how do I get the 2 halfs to separate ive taken 2 screws off but still wont separate, ?

Hi,Start with running the machine without the yellow filter in it,as the head is a turbine and needs full suction to rotate the brushbar.If this works purchase a new filter.If not there aren't any serviceable parts available as im aware off so a new head may be the other option.cheers
