i have a dyson DCO7 ORIGIN im trying to get at the on off switch, ive removed the screw , but the part wont come off?can anyone help ? thanks

thanks managed to prise it off with help from wd 40, how can you test switch, before removing all the fittings to get at motor, to test motor ?

If you have a multimeter, measure the resistance across the contacts when switching the switch. If it changes it's working. If not you could use some wire with a battery and bulb but a multimeter is a worthy investment and only costs about £3.
The motor is more likely to be the problem though.
