I have narrowed it down as much as i can,

Doesnt do it in the upright position, ie. when using the wand.
Its not the brushbar as it does it with that on or off.
Its not the wheels as it does it when still as well as when moving.

But it is intermittant.

Thanks for any help.

Try taking the head off and inspecting it, or run the cleaner without a head to see if that is the problem.

To remove the head, lay the vacuum cleaner on it's back. At the connection between the ball and the head, there is a red clip. Pull this apart and off, and the head will come off.

To put the head back on, place the red clip back on the head and then push it onto the machine again.

Check that there are no obstructions/blockages in the head.

The issue is more than likely caused by the seal on the duct assy. I have attached a picture of the area and what the seal looks like. Over time the seal bends and starts getting sucked into the clear bin. This causes an air leak that can make a squealing noise.

This will happen mostly when in use as the machine flexes on this point, making the problem worse. When using the hose this part will not flex, therefore the problem will not happen.

Using a hair dryer gently heat the rubber back up and mould it back to the original shape. *CAREFUL AS THE RUBBER CAN GET HOT*

This should hopefully solve the problem
