my bro has just given me a dc07 all floors. it was in a sorry way. iv cleaned her up now, but there is a big gap between the body and the dust catcher. if i push it together i get amazing suction. whats the way around this many thanks

Hi  There should be a small gap there which should close when the machien is turned on, but given what you've said you have to actually push them together while it's on. I'd just check that the bin is seated correctly, otherwise you could try a new seal, they're not expensive.

This looks like the one: Dyson Entry SealDo check your old one first though. Has it gone brittle or are there any tears in it? If not it might not fix it if the problem is that the gap is too large for the suction to close the seal. It could also be caused by poor suction come to think of it.

the seal doesnt that bad, but saying that i dont know how much the part of the seal that seals round the bin sticks out from the main part of the seal(if that makes sence, it is 3.30am) the suction seems bang on tbh, iv compared it to my rollerball.

Hello, I would try removing the post motor filter cover and refitting it, ensuring that the back of the lids lip is tucked under the machine body.
Does the cyclone click into place when you refit it?
