Hi guys. I 've had two battery replaced thru warranty over 3 years. One died and the other wasn't holding charge properly. This time round Dyson will replace battery on there condition I buy a new charger. They've come top the conclusion that the charger has developed a memory and therefore not fully charging the battery. Can some one confirm this theory or is Dyson trying to an $ from me.
Cheers

For what the charger does they are very complex. In the years we have been doing this we have never heard of the charger having a memory, this would be a bad design on Dysons part. We find that we do replace a lot of Genuine Dyson batteries throughout the year.

When we replace them, we do not replace them with Genuine but with a high quality pattern part (touch wood - we have no issues). We have had customers that have had 3-4 batteries within their warranty period. How long is the battery lasting?

Battery lasting 12-14 months. Dyson has replaced a 2nd battery(warranty) on the condition I purchase a charger from them, as they (customer service rep) believe it has to do with the charger developing a "memory"
