Hi everyone,

I have two V8s that I have built from parts. Up to now all has gone ok. Today though I was waiting on a Main Body and have been sent one that is apparently new. It sadly won't fit my battery.

I know there are tow types of battery mine are the ones that say 6 - Cell (215681) 6INR21 / 70-1. The handles that fit mine are part numbers:

So where I am stuck is this....

The part number above has 16.07.2019 on the box and the part fitted fine. However... another I bought does not at all. This is the detail:

On the Main Body (which is brand new) it says SV10D and on the case says T109430. On the box it came in that says 968893-01 and is dated 29.05.2018

Have I been scammed? Is the part that was on the box correct? I don' think it can be as surely SV10D is later than SV10?

Any help would be MASSIVELY appreciated.

Thank you!!

You will need to check what battery you have. It seems you may have ordered the wrong body for your machine. On the bottom of your battery there will be a circle with the letters 'PSE' inside. If you have this on your batteries it means that your D body will not fit. Dyson upgraded the battery and body to the 'PSE' type. 'D' is the old style
