Would love to hear from the experts on this forum. I have a DC41 that all of a sudden has stopped working. no clogs at all.
I've checked power cord with my electrical meter and all is good. Here is the part that is confusing me:
1. I've checked all wires on switches and all seems good.
2. When the power switches are in the OFF position...I still have an electrical current being measured all the way down the power cord into the motor. But yet it doesn't turn on when I press the switch. It doesn't make sense...how could there be electrical current going into the motor and motor not running even if the power switches are in the off position. My only guess is that the motor has an open winding...but I am not an expert on motors.
Any help would. be extremely helpful.

Hi, if you are testing the wires all the way down to the motor, am i right to assume that you have taken the motor out? If so what is the condition of the motor? Maybe a picture?
