Hi,
I’ve had a Dyson DC75 for a year or so now and have an issue which has been exacerbated by new carpets being fitted in my home. I found it difficult to hoover on carpet due to the suction power and now it’s virtually impossible given that I have a thicker pile carpet fitted.
I have been trying to push the damn thing around but am finding I need to use both hands, a lot do strength and sweat, I’ve also noticed the handle is bending out of shape due to this.
Has anyone got the same hoover and experiencing the same, I can’t see a logical fix for the issue?
Thanks

Thank you for posting your issue. Are you able to take a photo of the cleaner head, and underneath the cleaner head. We can then check to make sure everything is as it should be.

I’ve had a Dyson engineer come out twice and replace the cleaner head. Second time round he’s made small holes in the side rubber trim around the head to let some of the suction escape but it’s made little difference.

Right ok, the engineer putting rhem holes in will make very little difference. Reason being when used on thick carpet the soleplate will lift, causing the holes to seal.
There is a seal you can remove to help reduce some of the suction at the cleanerhead.
Will get some photos taken and post them here
