Re: Dyson DC01 price
Not collectable yet I'm afraid. Often seen at the local recycling centre! I'd guess you might get £10 or £20 for it.

Re: DC08 motor problem.
I got mine from spares-2-go off ebay - just search for "genuine dyson dc08 motor". espares and buyspares do them too, amongst others. note that the motors are not actually made by Dyson but these should be the from the same manufacturer Dyson use (OEM) - YDK are one,for example.

Re: DC08 motor problem.
OK, it was worth a go. My ebay motor lasted only 6 months so it might be worth considering a genuine one.

Re: Overall Opinion on Dyson Products?
Overall I think they're great. I bought my first in 2000 and 16 years later I'm on my second (a DC14). I've replaced the motor but it works as good as new. A bit more expensive to buy but great value for money as they last and are easy to refurbish and keep going. And it cleans well. They're a bit l...

Re: DC08 motor problem.
OK, sounds like a good plan. Must admit I have never tried that before. Hope it solves the problem for you.

Re: DC08 motor problem.
I think your brushes are worn as I think the brass bits sit proud before they wear down. Either way you've taken the time and effort to strip it down to the motor so I would replace the motor. I would recommend a genuine one. I replaced my DC14 with an aftermarket one after many years and it only la...

Re: Was the Dyson DC14 the best ever Dyson ?
It's certainly a good one. Still got mine after 8 or so years. Had to replace the hose and motor twice (first one was a cheap one of ebay which didn't last) but I've got no reason to replace it or would try a ball version. A friend of mine had only just had his DC04 die after 10 years too. With that...

Re: Forum features
I think the spelling issue is browser related, certainly not website related anyway. As for the colour - point noted. The colour scheme was chosen for ease of reading but it was commented once before that some people found it hard to read and I did lighten the font in response. If I get a change I w...

Dyson Supersonic: Dyson's new hairdryer
As widely expected Dyson have launched a hairdryer today. It looks, and works, like a smaller, more powerful Dyson fan. Dyson claim that it dries hair faster and more carefully than a conventional hairdryer. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-36111742 Fore more details: http://www.dyson.co.uk/hair...
