Dyson model: DC35
From viewing comments on the web, I know this is a fairly common problem. I've had the DC35 for four or five years and it's been great; I have a Labrador and he sheds like crazy! Machine started cutting out a couple of months ago. When fully charged, it would work fine for for a few minutes - then just stop. It would then work for a few seconds and cut out again. I tried a thorough cleaning and that didn't help. Was about to toss it and get a replacement, then noticed that it wouldn't work at all on the "max" setting once it had started cutting out. It occurred to me that the battery may have become "tired" and was no longer holding a proper charge. Bought a new battery on Amazon for about $30 and that was the problem. It works like new again.
