When emptying the clear bin, using the red handle to slide forward, the lid does not flip open, and the bin comes completely off the guide rail. There appears to be severe wear on a little ridge on the front edge of the guide rail. Anybody else had this problem? Is it a moulding fault? Is the guide rail a replaceable item?

Bye for now, V10User.

Hi - I just found this forum because I'm having this exact same issue. Had the vacuum about 10 months and has worked great. Went to empty the bin and the whole thing slid right off. I "chatted" with Dyson Canada and was sent a new bin. I just replaced it and am having the same problem. I looked really closely and see the issue you mentioned - there is a small ridge at the front edge and it appears one side has broken off. Did you ever get this rectified? Can that part be replaced?

Thanks
