Dyson model: DC14 Animal
Hi

I'm new here and I'm half way through changing out the Motor on my DC14 and need to get a new motor.

Firstly, Is it possible someone could tell me please, as I can't seem to find it on Google, what is the motor power, In Watts, of the original DC14 Animal ?, and Secondly, Is there a "Trusted" supplier who I can trust to sell me the correct item at a sensible price.

I decided to repair this Dyson as it really is a good vacuum and is pre EU power restriction spec, but I don't want to put some gutless motor back in as it kind of defeats the object of repairing it.

Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you for looking

Paul

According to the Amazon listing, the power of the DC14 is 1400 watts - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dyson-DC14-Upr ... B0002YDM2C

I'm not sure about a trusted seller, have you contacted Dyson to see if they are able to send you a replacement?

Hi

Dyson genuine motors are 1400w. You can buy good pattern motors which are 1600w

BB Dyson Specialist Ltd are a trusted seller of Dyson parts

Also it is worth noting that you can buy motors for about £12 delivered on ebay when you consider ebay/paypal fees and postage will come to about £3-£5, the motor is actually costing £7-£9, it does make you wonder what sort of quality you are buying :?:

Hi again
Sorry it's taken so long to reply.

yes, that's really why I asked the question, because when genuine Dyson are £50+ pounds what are you getting for £12.

But thank you for the name of the seller it's always good to know about someone who others trust.
Many thanks again
Paul
