Dyson model: v8 animal
Hi, Just trying to get some info I can't find anywhere online -

My mum has just bought a v8 animal - she thought it was great first time she used it but then the next time, she realised it will NOT stand upright on it's own!?

She has never heard of and can't believe such a thing even exists- an upright that just falls over if you let go of it.

You often want to let go as you hoover up - to move furniture or whatever. Normaly an upright will stand up by itself, or have some kind of lock on the head to make it do so.

The lack of this is such an issues it will probably be going back.

I didn't want to mess with looking up the seriel number etc for the dyson help when it is probably going back, but I just wanted to check that there is not something wrong with our hoover, or I am missing some button - or does dyson think proping the thing against walls precariously and hoping it doesn't slide down and smash to bits is good design?
