Along with owning Dyson handhelds, I've owned robot vacuums from the early iRobot Roomba models and I've been waiting years — decades really! — for a Dyson robot. I was disappointed then when I visited the North American preview in Toronto to find out that Dyson's first robot has some critical flaws after such a long development time.

1. It's too tall to fit under most furniture and even along most kitchen kickboards.
2. Because it's round and dispenses with a side brush, it cannot reach into corners — exactly the place where the most dust bunnies and sand accumulate. This is a critical flaw!

Initially, the reps at the preview told me that the Dyson had enough suction to pick up dirt in corners from the short distance necessary, but then they had to admit that they were wrong when I showed them. There was a little demo area with a 360 eye driving around. I sprinkled some sand into the corners and directed the Dyson in its direction. It snuggled into a corner, leaving a large gap out of reach and driving away with all the sand in place. Now, think of your home and how many corners it has. None of them will be cleaned and must be vacuumed manually. So, what is the point of a robot vacuum again?

I expected far better from Dyson and I hope that my faith is restored. One glimmer of hope is that in interviews, Dyson engineers have said that this was just the beginning and that they've already been working on a successor. Kind of an odd thing to say before the first model even went on sale outside of its test market in Japan.

Has anybody heard of any rumours of when we can expect a version 2? What is Dyson's product cycle usually like?

I use DC51 but it's quite cumbersome, and sometimes it's inconvenient to get to all sorts of corners. Despite the fact that it is pretty good, I'm thinking about buying more a robot vacuum cleaner. I can not say that I'm an ardent fan of dyson, so I decided to look on the Internet what other variants of the vacuum cleaners are. Actually, despite the rather high price, the dyson still does not correct itself with the characteristics)
What is the most interesting - in the reviews there no dyson brand, it is possible has more power and time of working, but its case is not quite suitable for corners and low tables)

But the irobot you are talking about is there, in the reviews of these. In general, unlike the usual models, a vacuum cleaner in a dyson brand is not very suitable)

I had a strange online chat the other day after I asked when the 360 Eye would be back in stock. It’s currently not available on the dyson website in the Uk. The advisor could not confirm when they would have stock again?! Bit strange for dyson themselves to not know when it’s available to order. When pushed as to whether it was being discontinued or replaced the could neither confirm or deny. So I left the chat not knowing anymore but it does seem to point to a potential V2.

I am really for what you are facing, Dyson have several models or version and all version have other working rules and all have diffferent x-factor, i am using dyson v6 and i am very much sure that it has a very good suction as compared to other models of dyson or you can compare between, Dyson v6 vs v8

thanks

Seriously, are you kidding? I have a Dyson 360, and this kid is much the best that you can find. A huge plus of which there is no other robot vacuum cleaner - this opportunity to drive through the door sills. The 360 has caterpillar wheels for this. In addition, he has a much better overview and interaction with the room and furniture. While all the other models will poke in the leg of the chair, 360 will go around them. You certainly may consider cheaper options, but there won`t be anything more reliable than Dyson, you'll see what you find. For example, the same roomba has many problems with battery replacement - https://bestvacuum.reviews/roomba-replacement-batteries/, do you really need it?

I agree Dyson are not worth buying when it comes to Robot vacuums. I am also planning to buy a robot vac for my home. However, after reading these comments, I have decided to stick with Roomba or Neato. Dyson is tall and it won't go to places where I want it to go and clean.
