 Post subject: Pulsing due to loose intake flap

Dyson model: DC59
DC59 user- I am getting constant pulsing. I checked the intake flap on the canister head. It is loose rather than springloaded. Should it be springloaded? And is the loose state causing the pulsing effect? Grateful for any comments.

Dyson model: dc25
You have a blockage somewhere as this causes pulsing and the flap should be lose , not spring loaded .
